After years of private engineering and software work, Shenzhen SmartLink Limited was established as an international company connecting product development with qualified independent suppliers and specialist service providers.
About Us
Experience that connects the whole product journey.
Shenzhen SmartLink Limited was established in Hong Kong on 22 May 2014. Its founder brings nearly 25 years of directly involved engineering and software experience, supported by practical work across a broad range of products, integrations and technical challenges.
Built from practical experience
We understand the spaces between the disciplines.
A product rarely fails because one isolated task was impossible. More often, the difficulty sits between the tasks: hardware and firmware assumptions do not match, software is designed without the service workflow, a supplier changes a component, production cannot test consistently, or the server architecture does not reflect the customer’s security policy.
SmartLink was built to connect those spaces. We help define the complete requirement, bring in the right specialists, challenge weak assumptions and maintain one understandable project path from early decisions through prototype, validation and controlled production.
We remain intentionally directly involved. Customers work with people who understand the technical and commercial consequences of the decisions, not with a sales layer that disappears after the quotation.
The founder’s experience began well before SmartLink was established and spans embedded controllers, communications, PC software, connected systems, RF, industrial equipment and solving production problems.
Our value is not defined by a claimed project count or a single repeated product category. It comes from the accumulated judgment gained by solving many different combinations of electronics, firmware, software, field conditions, suppliers and users.
We coordinate qualified independent resources according to each project, helping review samples, follow revisions and connect technical decisions with practical execution.
Representative experience
Different industries. The same discipline of making systems work.
Over the years, the wider engineering experience behind SmartLink has covered many product types. The examples below are intentionally grouped and anonymized; they demonstrate range without exposing customer identities or confidential designs.
Public and unattended & unattended equipment
Coin and banknote operated control, payphones, currency exchange equipment, public laundry controls and air conditioning activated by payment for libraries, shared rooms and other public spaces.
These projects combined payment acceptance, timing or credit logic, equipment control, user feedback, service access and practical fault handling. The broader lesson is how to make unattended equipment dependable and understandable for everyday users.
Motor, pump & power control
Pump controllers, soft start systems and control electronics for motors and electrically operated equipment.
Control systems require careful protection, timing, state handling and predictable recovery. They must remain understandable to installers and service teams long after the first prototype is complete.
Remote access, GPS & connected control
Mobile gate access systems operated through an app or phone call, vehicle GPS tracking and remote vehicle immobilization features.
These systems connect field hardware with communication networks and user permissions. Security, reliable command handling, event history and safe behavior when connectivity is imperfect all matter.
Agriculture & environmental monitoring
Poultry facility monitoring and systems for controlled distribution of probiotic materials to improve air conditions.
Agricultural environments add dust, moisture, distance, maintenance and operational constraints. Useful systems must convert sensing and control into simple actions that can be trusted by the people running the facility.
Accessible vehicle controls
Steering wheel mounted controls for adapted vehicles, interfacing with indicators, wipers and other vehicle functions.
Accessibility projects require special care because the interface must be intuitive, dependable and physically appropriate for the driver. Integration with existing vehicle systems must be controlled and tested responsibly.
RF, audio/video & distributed data
Long range RF links for audio and video, receiver systems and business data exchange across many terminals.
Early communication work created a strong foundation in protocols, signal paths, distributed equipment and diagnostics, experience that continues to inform modern connected product architecture.
Refrigeration, compressor & temperature control
Server room temperature controllers, industrial defrost control, compressor sequencing and equipment monitoring for cooling applications.
These systems combine sensing, timing, protection, alarms and safe recovery. Reliable control must account for real operating conditions, service needs and the consequences of incorrect switching or delayed response.
We do not claim that every new project is identical to something already completed. The advantage is pattern recognition: understanding interfaces, failure modes, users, service needs and production realities early enough to make better decisions.
Our role
We are a solutions company, not a factory.
Our value is in understanding the requirement, assembling the right technical resources, coordinating execution and maintaining control across disciplines and suppliers.
Established in Hong Kong
Shenzhen SmartLink Limited has operated since 22 May 2014, supporting international product, engineering and specialized sourcing work.
The Hong Kong company provides a clear international business identity while independent specialists, suppliers and manufacturing partners are engaged according to each project's requirements.
Connected to the supply ecosystem
We coordinate qualified engineering, supplier, sample and manufacturing resources in China according to each project.
This network matters when a sample must be reviewed, a supplier must explain a revision, a production issue must be understood or several independent specialists need to align around the same product.
Lean core, specialist network
A focused internal team coordinates the customer relationship and project, supported by trusted specialists selected for the work required.
We do not pretend every discipline is a large internal department. We assemble the right combination of electronics, firmware, software, mechanical, testing, compliance and production resources for the actual scope.
One accountable project path
Customers do not need to manage every engineer, developer, supplier and inspector separately.
We keep decisions connected, communicate compromises and make responsibilities visible so the customer can understand what is happening without becoming the coordinator of every technical detail.
How we think
Practical principles for serious projects.
We aim to make decisions that protect the product beyond the next prototype or purchase order.
Understand before quoting
A precise scope is more valuable than a fast number based on assumptions.
We first identify what must be true for the product to succeed. A proposal should make the unknowns, responsibilities and boundaries more visible, not hide them behind a single attractive price.
Be honest about the model
We coordinate qualified resources and factories; we do not claim to own facilities we do not own.
The customer should understand who is responsible for engineering, supply, manufacturing, inspection and support. Credibility comes from control and transparency, not from pretending to be a giant organization.
Protect customer control
Ownership, source files, hosting, access and ongoing responsibilities are defined clearly.
The customer can select a full handover model or ongoing managed support. In either case, the agreement should state what is delivered, where systems are hosted and who controls production access.
Build for continuity
Documentation, validation and change control make future updates and production decisions safer.
A working demo is not enough. We consider how the product will be tested, serviced, updated, reproduced and understood when the original development moment has passed.
Respect confidentiality
NDA protection and careful use of customer examples are part of the working relationship.
We can sign a mutual NDA before sensitive disclosure. Project information, source files and customer identities are shared only as required for the agreed work and are not treated as marketing material by default.
Choose projects with substance
We focus on work where engineering, customization, quality or coordination creates meaningful value.
This lets us invest attention where judgment matters: solving a difficult integration, improving an existing product, managing a meaningful customization or building a dependable lasting supply path.
